History of the Source

In late 2008, the idea for the The Source was born, a leading professional development organisation aiming to provide opportunities for the motivated, innovative, and up-and-coming business people of Brisbane city. Following in the footsteps, and carrying the highly recognized reputation of the Brisbane Junior Chamber of Commerce, The Source grew from years of knowledge, since the establishment of BJCC in 1983. In realising Brisbane's lack of business and personal development opportunities, BJCC provided an environment which specifically catered for young professionals looking for a chance to break apart from the pack.

From its humble beginnings of ten members and a guest speaker once a month, the BJCC expanded and grew through the word-of-mouth of its many inspired members.

To focus on providing members with inspirational personal and professional development opportunities, leading to individual business growth and learning in a fun and dynamic manner.

Who can be a member?

Officially we are a group for both established and upcoming professionals between the age of 18 and 35. Unofficially, we are a group of forward-thinking, opportunity-grabbing, pack-leading business people. You don't have to be a member to come to our events, but members get a discount on tickets, not to mention first dibs on all the key information and invitations!
